Your training data belongs to you alone. This policy explains exactly what data the app handles and what it doesn't.
01 Data I Do Not Collect
DragonStrength does not collect, transmit, or store any personal information on servers. There aren't even any servers. There are no user accounts, no logins, no emails, and no analytics pipelines. There's not even a team, it's just me and a laptop.
- No name, email address, or contact information
- No location data
- No device identifiers or advertising IDs
- No in-built usage analytics or crash reporting (though this may be implemented down the road)
- No third-party SDKs, trackers, or advertising frameworks
02 Data Stored on Your Device
All of your data lives locally on your device. This includes:
- Exercise database — your customized list of exercises, stored as JSON files in the app's Documents directory
- Workout logs — completed workout records stored via SwiftData (Apple's local persistence framework)
- App preferences — settings such as training mode, weight increments, and active profile, stored in UserDefaults
This data never leaves your device except through iCloud sync (see below) or an explicit export action you initiate.
03 iCloud Sync
DragonStrength uses Apple's CloudKit framework, which may sync your workout and exercise data across your personal iCloud-connected devices.
This data is yours, synced through your own iCloud account. It is governed by Apple's Privacy Policy. I (developer) cannot access, view, or retrieve your iCloud data.
iCloud sync can be managed or disabled through your device's Settings → [Your Name] → iCloud.
04 Data Export
DragonStrength includes an Export feature that allows you to save a copy of your data as a JSON file. This file is generated entirely on your device and doesn't go anywhere unless you intentionally share or move it.
05 Children's Privacy
DragonStrength does not knowingly collect data from anyone, including children under 13. Since no data is collected at all, the app complies with COPPA and similar regulations by design. Eventually I hope to implement a rudimentary usage data analytics to inform future development, but only for users who opt in.
06 Changes to This Policy
If this policy changes in a meaningful way, I will update the effective date above and note the change in the App Store release notes. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
